Heart to Heart offers hope, education and emotional support to families of children with Congenital Heart Defects (CHD and Early On-set Heart Disease.  Heart to Heart in collaboration with Woodleigh Marx Hubbard, acclaimed artist, children’s author and illustrator present “The Healing” a movement to raise Congenital Heart Defect Awareness (CHD) and Pediatric Cardiac Research Funds.  

Ms. Hubbard’s magnificent creation captures the essence of CHD and with her colorful imagination breathes new life and hope into the struggles faced by some 40,000 children annually in the United States. 

Woodleigh’s best loved picture books include The Friendship Book, Hip Cat, C is for Curious, which was named as a Fight ‘N Face Fear Book Selection by Parent’s Choice. Other awards include the Society of Children’s Illustrator’s Award, Book Builder’s West Award, and the American Institute of Graphic Art’s Award for Excellence.  Her distinctive artwork has appeared in Newsweek. Heart to Heart is a 100% volunteer, non-profit 501(C) 3 organization whose mission is that no one with pediatric heart concerns should feel alone.  Our goals: while offering monthly meetings, educational materials, quarterly newsletters, hospital visitations, Internet site and telephone heartline is to continue pumping up CHD and Early On-Set Heart Disease Awareness as well as Pediatric Cardiac Research Dollars.  With twice as many children dying from CHD’s than from all forms of childhood cancer combined we know you will want to join our efforts in “The Healing.”
